You might find the need to reset to factory settings your BCM50 PBX system using the reset switch. Perhaps the system has been misconfigured to such an extent that it is easier to just start from factory settings and use a Level 1 reset to return to the default system programming. Or you find yourself with a system that you need to erase all of the user specific data by initiating a Level 1 or a Level 2 reset.
1A Level 1 Reset erases all customer specific data and restores the default configuration for all components. This reset leaves all the software components as is. No Ethernet connectivity to the system occurs during this operation.
2A Level 2 Reset erases all the customer and system configuration data and all software releases and patches that have been installed. This reset re-installs the original factory settings and resets the router firmware to the original version when shipped from the factory. A level 2 reset also erases all the log files in the system.
