Panasonic KX-TDA- How to Reset a Mailbox Password
The
KX-TDA Panasonic PBX phone systems are very popular. Many are deployed and
working well for companies around the globe. They come in various sizes,
from the 50 to the 200 and larger 600.
The 7600 series telephones (or IP phones) are designed for the KX-TDA systems, as well as the KX-TDE and KX-NCP PBXs. Older version telephones, such as the 7200 and 7400 series, both digital handsets, will also work with these systems if properly configured. The best solution for replacing a desk set (or adding additional phones) is to use the same exact model phone that you are replacing, which will help prevent any difficulties that can arise by switching models.
Recover mailbox access after a lost password for what ever reason is an important task for admin and one that you might find being requested.
How to reset a Voice Mail Box Password on Panasonic Voice Mail

Start by calling voicemail which can be done from any extension.
- Engage the voicemail system. This can be done by pressing the Intercom button and then dialing 165. (Or if outside call in and when the auto-attendant answers dial #6).
- When answered by the auto-attendant dial #6.
- When asked for your mail box number dial *999. NOTE* (This would be for 3 digit extensions. In the event that your system uses 2 digit extensions, dial *99, or 4 digit extension, dial *9999.)
- Enter the administrator's password, if required followed by #.
- Nest dial 6 for Other Features.
- Then dial 1 for Mailbox setup.
- Next dial 3 to Reset Password.
- Enter the mailbox number in which you wish to delete the password.
- Follow the prompts which will require pressing 1, which will delete the password. NOTE* (Once deleted you can check by pressing #68* followed by the mailbox number. It should not ask for a password.)
Panasonic has closed its Business Communications business and no longer makes any PBX systems. Panasonic Systems Solutions of North America to service parts through 2029, and Panasonic dealers continue supporting customers.
